DACHSER & KOLB: Umzug der Continental AG

Digital Moving Company

Continental AG, headquartered in Hanover, is one of the world‘s leading suppliers to the automotive industry. Several hundred employees recently moved into the new administration building in Hanover.

The removal specialist DACHSER & KOLB from Kempten in the Allgäu carried out the removal of office equipment and archives to the newly built company headquarters in Hanover over 17 days in November. Offices and archives from various buildings in Hanover were centralized and around 3,000 boxes, furniture, media technology and ultimately 12.5 km of archive documents were brought in.

With the help of a team of three project managers, three team leaders, 20 removal packers and three trucks, the objectives of the daily planning were meticulously adhered to. Only rolling systems were used in the archive area, which made it possible to move the documents one-to-one.

The good preparation and cooperation of the people responsible for the move at Continental AG and DACHSER & KOLB with a jointly developed relocation guide enabled the smooth and timely logistical implementation of the planning without any damage. 12 truck journeys with files took place every day, allowing the archives in the new company headquarters to grow rapidly.

Heavy loads, furniture and media technology were also transported and set up in the new central building. The work of two post offices was stopped for a short time, the post offices were relocated and were finally able to resume operations just a few hours later.
